The benefits to the environment and residents’ health that public green
spaces have, illustrate the central role that they possess in the promotion of
urban sustainability and human wellbeing. We are committed to greening the
municipality and providing residents with access to green spaces, through
planting the streets and breathing life into the spare atriums (acalyptos) of
Kypseli’s urban tissue.

In the hope of bringing into being a sustainable city,
we propose the integration of modern technology on polykatoikias, such as
rainwater collectors and solar panels. Apart from mitigating climate change and making the city resilient and
sustainable, our proposal also aims to create an inclusive and safe environment
for the citizens. Some of the most important SDGs that refer to equality and
economic growth are addressed through our goal to strengthen Kypseli’s
night-time economy. Through this feature of our project, we aim to provide more
cultural spaces in the area where a diverse range of actors –performers, students,
locals, start-ups and more – can operate, socialize and benefit from.
